Lesbian, Gay, Bisexeual and Transgender Health

Individuals who are LGBT are at increased risk for a number of health threats, compared to their heterosexual peers. Differences in sexual behavior account for some of these disparities, but others are associated with social inequalities, such as stigma and discrimination. Public health laws can reduce some of those disparities by enforcing proper patient care and ensuring equitable treatment.
