2013 PHLR Annual Meeting: Driving Legal Innovation
New Orleans, Louisiana -- January 16-18, 2013
The PHLR scientific community will gather at this year's annual meeting in New Orleans, LA, January 16-18, 2013. The theme of this year's meeting is Driving Legal Innovation.
Top public health law researchers and experts will share the latest
additions to the growing evidence base and innovations in the field, and
will lead discussions to further spark innovative thinking about ways
to use law to improve public health.
Don't miss these highlights:
- Critical Opportunities returns with a revamped look
and feel. This is a fun, interactive session that will explore ways law
can promote health including: health problems for which legal
approaches are absent, underdeveloped, or have misfired; evidence
supporting legal approaches to these problems; and priority topics for
future public health law research.
- PHLR grantees and other researchers will present their latest research results -- putting attendees at the cutting edge of the newest evidence in the field.
- Instructional workshops for using LawAtlas, a web-based platform
that will provide access to quantitative legal datasets that can be used
to drive public health legal innovation, where users can query, map,
report and download legal data.
